# Slope divider: missing beats

A second slope must finish its envelope before accepting another trigger, producing rate-dependent rhythmic divisions.

## Start here

Lower the monitoring level before patching. These are documented patch designs, not claims of hardware audition.

Unless this recipe uses the right Mix Pro for control voltage: center its DC offset, zero unused channels, and bring up only the cabled audio inputs. Connect Audio Interface MIX OUT to your normal monitoring chain.

1. GTS upper: steady 4–6 Hz clock. Lower: cycle off, RISE short but visible, FALL initially shorter than one clock period.
2. VCFQ: audio range; tune a woody pitch and set Q for a short ring.

1. GTS XL upper END OUT → GTS XL upper TRIG IN.
2. GTS XL upper END OUT → GTS XL lower TRIG IN.
3. GTS XL lower END OUT → VCFQ TRIG IN.
4. VCFQ BAND → Edelweiss right Mix Pro IN 1.
5. Edelweiss right Mix Pro OUT → Audio Interface AUX IN.

## Listen for

Even pings give way to skipped beats as the lower envelope becomes longer than the incoming clock interval.

## Play it

Sweep lower FALL slowly across division boundaries; pause where the rhythm locks.

## If it misbehaves

If every beat sounds regardless of lower FALL, verify the filter is fed by lower END OUT, not upper END OUT.
