# Slope into slope: moving low-pass An audio-rate slope drives a second slope used as a slew processor. The second channel changes the contour of every cycle. ## Start here Lower the monitoring level before patching. These are documented patch designs, not claims of hardware audition. Unless this recipe uses the right Mix Pro for control voltage: center its DC offset, zero unused channels, and bring up only the cabled audio inputs. Connect Audio Interface MIX OUT to your normal monitoring chain. 1. GTS upper: fastest RISE; tune FALL to a low buzz. Leave its IN empty. 2. GTS lower: cycle off. Begin with both rates fast, then slow RISE and FALL until the buzz softens. ## Cables 1. GTS XL upper END OUT → GTS XL upper TRIG IN. 2. GTS XL upper OUT → GTS XL lower IN. 3. GTS XL lower OUT → Edelweiss right Mix Pro IN 1. 4. Edelweiss right Mix Pro OUT → Audio Interface AUX IN. ## Listen for A continuous bass whose edge and level change together. Slow slew settings may greatly reduce the output. ## Play it Move lower RISE and FALL in opposite directions to make the softening asymmetric. ## If it misbehaves If the lower section produces its own unrelated note, remove its cycle feedback or turn its cycle switch off. ## Module references - https://serge-modular.com/docs/GTS%20XL%20manual.pdf
